HARDTNER SURGERY CENTER
Eye surgeries are now being
performed at Hardtner Surgery
Center. With the affiliation of
Alexandria Eye & Laser Center,
cataract surgeries are now being
performed by renowned
ophthalmologist Dr. Bernard Patty. Dr.
Bernard E. Patty III, received his M.D.
degree from Louisiana State University
School of Medicine in New Orleans
where he was elected into the AOA
honor medical society. He completed
his internship at Parkland Memorial
Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He served
two years in the Indian Health Service
branch of the U.S. Public Health
Service in Red Lake, Minnesota.
Dr. Patty completed his residency in
Ophthalmology at Wills Hospital in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and
became a board certified member of
the American Board of Ophthalmology
in 1976. His specialties include
performing state-of-the-art no-stitch
cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery,
muscle surgery, eyelid surgery,
Excimer and refractive surgery, Laser
surgery of anterior and posterior
segments including Diabetic
Retinopathy.
Our newest addition is Dr. Eric Reish.
Dr. Reish has joined Alexandria Eye
and will also be performing eye
surgeries at Hardtner Surgery Center.
General Surgery: Outpatient
ambulatory surgeries performed at
Hardtner include Colonoscopy,
gastroscopy, biospsies, cataracts, and
dental extractions.
Dr. Brian Smith is specially trained to
perform these procedures. Dr. Jonas
Gauthier and Dr. Bridgette Vidrine,
DDS, performs dental extractions
under general anesthesia for patients
five years old and younger.
