| Hardtner Medical Center Announces Expansion |
The Board of Commissioners have
announced the expansion of the Hardtner
Medical Clinic.
Hardtner Medical Clinic is currently located
on North Pine Rd. in a building constructed in
1974. Due to the growth in providers and
demand for services, expansion was
necessary. Hardtner in recent years
purchased 7 additional acres of land fronting
newly 4-laned US Hwy 165 adjacent to the
hospital. The board in its' vision for the future
saw a need for additional space for growth.
The new state-of-the-art rural health clinic
building will be constructed on the site
directly across North Pine Rd. and facing US
165. It will be a 15,850 square feet medical
office building with 7 modules for 7 providers,
shelled space for a future MRI, waiting room
to seat 100+ patients, conference room,
business offices, covered physician parking,
patient drive-through cover, and expansive
parking lot.
The project has been on the planning board
since 2004 and has only come to fruition
thanks to the USDA, La. Rural Hospital
Coalition, and Southern Heritage Bank.
Construction is expected to commence late
summer of 2010 and completed by spring of
2011.
