| Hardtner Medical Clinic NOW OPEN for business! |
Patients will begin being seen on Monday, October 3, 2011 in the new state-of-the-art Hardtner Medical Clinic.
After more than 7 years of planning the vision that the Board of Commissioners had of Hardtner Medical Clinic
will become a reality. Stepping into a beautiful roomy waiting area you will find seating for over 120 people.
Suite A on your left will be the practices of Dr. Brian Smith and Family Nurse Practitioner Mary Benjamin.
Suite B on your right will be the practices of Dr. Kenneth Mauterer and Family Nurse Practitioner Jennifer Byrd.
Suite C will house the new addtion of physicians Dr. Jeffrey Stirnemann and Dr. Jeb Butler. Family Nurse
Practitioner Jorie Sanford will also be in Suite C.
Dr. Jeffrey Stirnemann will begin his primary care practice and will be accepting walk-ins and new patients (Oct.
10). Dr. Stirnemann, formerly the Medical Director of Hardtner Emergency Services will continue to work on a
part-time basis in the ER while building his practice. Dr. Jeb Butler, Board Certified General Surgeon will see his
surgical consults in the new clinic.
Suite D will house the practices of Dr. Phillip Rowden, Psychiatrist, Jennifer Frazier, Licensed Clinical Social
Worker, and Kid-Med. A side entrance is designed for Suite D patients to ensure their privacy and confidentiality
needs are met. There is also a private waiting area.

After a record-setting year in 2011 for Hardtner Medical Center, your rural healthcare provider has many
more plans for improvements in 2012.
The campus has grown from 10 acres to 17 acres with 2011's addition being a 16,000 square foot
state-of-the-art rural health clinic and new relocated heli-port.
A new nursing administration building has been added consisting of 7 offices and general conference
room in 1920 square feet to accommodate our growing business.
Two large employee parking lots have been developed on the rear of the property to allow more
convenience for patients and guests parking.
One of the former physicians clinics have been converted to Hardtner Rehab Center. Moving from the
hospital to the out-building gives more convenience to the outpatients utilizing physical, occupational,
and speech therapies in the Rehab Center. Additional square footage will also allow for more
equipment and individual patient therapy needs.
The move of rehab from the hospital allows the hospital to reconvert the gym back to its' original waiting
room status. The large waiting room will serve a need for our growing surgery business. During 2011,
general surgery capabilities were added with Dr. Jeb Butler performing a variety of surgeries at the
surgical center located inside the hospital. Surgical abilities now include: Dr. Jeb Butler, General
Surgery; Dr. Brian Smith & Dr. Riaz Chaudhry, Endoscopies & Colonoscopies; Drs. Gauthier & Puckett,
Children's Dentistry; Dr. Eric Reish, Cataract & Yag Laser surgeries.
For 2012, construction is underway for a 3,500 square foot climate controlled warehouse on the
location of the former helipad. There are also plans to refurbish and modernize every patient room in
the hospital.
The medical center is also reviewing and evaluating additional services to provide to our communities.
